The fruit is edible cooked or dehydrated. The cultivars offered have the characteristics for an interesting commercial production but also ornamental. It is often used as a natural coloring agent and in the manufacture of juice mixtures.<\/p>\n<p>The flowers, white and fragrant, are used in decoction for their emollient, soothing and skin softening properties.
