Red Bounty raspberry plants are grown exclusively in vitro. They are called regeneration plants, which means they are of superior quality compared with plants propagated traditionally in the field. They are generally healthier, more vigorous and more productive than field-grown bare-root plants. They also have the advantage of adapting more easily to the climatic and soil conditions where they are planted. Trayplants are delivered ready to be planted in the field from May to autumn.
Red Bounty, a seedling, produces bright red, firm, fruits with a diameter of 19.9 mm and a size of 27.6 gr. with a delicious taste. It is an excellent variety to eat fresh, in jams, or to make preserves. Size slightly larger than Boyne
It is more resistant to cold than Boyne. Mid-season variety with excellent hardiness and very good productivity, the stems are of average length, thorny and of average suckering. Resistant to the cold. Self-pollinating.
The Red Bounty raspberry is a fast growing florican. This means that raspberries will not grow on canes the year they first grow. The mature canes they do grow on, however, produce more berries than the primocane varieties.
