This section describes a few of the main wine varieties grown in Quebec. Our harsh climate led local wine growers to search out new vine varieties and introduce interesting new flavours to wine lovers. Why not them a try?

Used as table grapes, in juices and wine making, Brianna grapes have pips, are large, green, and come in heavy bunches (100-250 g). Their tropical pineapple-like taste is very savoury. They ripen in mid-September. This is a very hardy cultivar that can withstand temperatures as low as -35 °C, and is mildew resistant.
